As a learner you are responsible for the following:

Before you take your course

  • Creating and adhering to a study timetable for your learning, allowing at least 100 hours per unit, including time outside of classroom-based learning.

During your course:

  • Participating fully in all learning activities set by your CICM teacher/tutor
  • Ensuring you fully commit to the required number of hours and planning enough time for the reading and supplemental study of core texts/materials and completion of final assignment.
  • Returning all completed tasks to your teacher/tutor within agreed set timescales.  This will directly contribute to your performance in the final assessment.
  • In the case of units assessed by assignments submit one draft (maximum) of each assignment task for review within time scales agreed with your teacher/tutor.
  • NB.  DRAFTS WILL NOT BE REVIEWED WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE CICM AWARDING BODY ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION DATE.

Please note:  The CICM Awarding Body restricts the amount of support teachers/tutors can give.  Therefore they are not authorised to check your completed assignment because this must be your own work.

What does your CICM teacher/tutor commit to?

  • Provide regular advice and guidance to support learning.
  • Assess your progress and provide support to help you achieve your goals.
  • Provide relevant and support the assignment.
  • Provide timely feedback on a maximum of one draft for each assignment within agreed timescales.

NB. NO DRAFT WILL BE REVIEWED WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE CICM AWARDING BODY ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION DATE.

TEACHERS WILL NOT COMMENT ON ANTICIPATED FINAL RESULTS.

The CICM Credit Academy commits to:

  • Conducting course reviews which include feedback from learners.
  • Maintaining regular contact with CICM Credit Academy teachers/tutors.
  • Standardisation of assessment processes and procedures.
  • Promoting excellence in learning and skills.
  • Operating a confidential, fair and prompt complaints procedure (Appendix A).
  • Offering personalised advice and guidance on progress routes.

Should you have any concerns, please discuss these with your teacher/tutor or CICM Credit Academy as soon as possible.
